Mika Pitkänen, NSMIF/b – Finland

I have been doing photography for five decades. In 1976, I got my first camera, a Yashica Electro 35 GSN, and took my first steps in this great sport.

As my skills developed over the years, in 1990, I acquired my first SLR camera, the Olympus X-300 S. It’s still ready for use in film shooting if needed.

In the transition to the digital age, I’ve been shooting with Canon equipment – currently, EOS 6D MK II and EOS 90D.

In recent years, I have deepened my skills by participating in competitions as a Tampere Photography Society (TVS) member – even with moderate success in international exhibitions.
